David Scott is running for the Arizona House of Representatives because District 10 deserves leadership that takes the work seriously.
Independent for Arizona House – Legislative District 10
For more than 20 years, David has led organizations where decisions affected real people like employees, families, and small business owners. He has built operations from the ground up, stepped up when things weren’t working, and made tough calls during uncertain times. That experience shapes how he thinks about public service.
David is running as an Independent because he believes the job of a legislator is not to follow party talking points, but to listen, ask hard questions, and make responsible decisions.

The Future We’re Building

Arizona’s economy is growing, but the underlying trends raise important questions about where we’re headed.
Much of the recent job growth has been concentrated in a small number of sectors, while housing costs, healthcare expenses, and gaps between education and workforce needs are making it harder for young people to get started. Also, our small businesses and entrepreneurs have difficulty accessing capital and resources to build the next generation of locally owned companies.
Our young people, business owners and parents are doing everything right and still finding that the path forward is unclear.
Arizona is growing, but growth alone doesn’t guarantee opportunity.

Experience. Accountability. Community
David Scott brings a steady, thoughtful approach to leadership shaped by real responsibility and long-standing involvement in the East Valley. His campaign is focused on practical solutions, fiscal responsibility, and respect for the people affected by state decisions.

The Challenge
Too often, politics rewards party loyalty instead of listening — and conflict instead of collaboration. That leaves too many people feeling unheard, shut out, or represented only when it’s convenient.
I hear this across Mesa and Apache Junction from people who want practical solutions, not partisan noise.
That’s the challenge this campaign exists to meet.

The Solution
The solution starts with inclusion.
I am committed to engaging every voice in Legislative District 10 — regardless of party, background, or ideology — because better outcomes come from broader perspectives.
By listening first, acting with accountability, and staying focused on real needs, I work to earn trust rather than demand it.
Being independent makes this possible.
It allows decisions to be guided by the people who live here — not party pressure, political labels, or outside agendas.
Politics doesn’t have to be loud or divisive to be effective.
It can be steady, inclusive, and focused on results that improve daily life.

How I Serve
I listen first.
That means taking the time to understand concerns, invite input, and include people in the process — not just after decisions are made, but before them.
Service also means accountability.
Showing up. Following through. Working collaboratively to deliver practical solutions for Mesa and Apache Junction.

Independence means:
I will always choose people over parties.
Help bring more voices into the conversation

Experienced leadership. Inclusive accountability.
David Scott brings more than 20 years of executive and civic leadership experience to his run for the Arizona State Legislature.
What David Has Done
Led and built banking teams across multiple states, working with thousands of businesses — from global, publicly traded companies to local small businesses
Managed regulatory, financial, and operational risk in highly accountable environments
Worked directly with small businesses, educators, and community organizations to solve real problems
Served in governance and board leadership roles focused on education, workforce readiness, and community stability
Throughout his career, David has made decisions where consequences were real and responsibility was unavoidable.
Why this Led Him Here
Over time, David noticed a growing gap between the people living with the consequences of policy decisions and the voices shaping those decisions.
Too many perspectives were excluded.
Too often, accountability drifted upward instead of outward.
Running for office wasn’t a career move.
It was a response to that gap.
David believes leadership should answer directly to the people it serves — with clarity, integrity, and responsibility.
